The Role
Dorset Fire & Security sales targets and commission scheme pertaining to the role of Technical Sales. The commission scheme is a non-contractual arrangement designed to reward sales employees who actively engage in driving sales revenue and contributing to business growth.
Commission will normally be paid (less any tax due) along with your salary once the sale is made. Commission will only be paid on receipt of official order from the sale to which it relates.
Although rare, if a sale is subsequently refunded (in part or in whole), for whatever reason, any commission already paid on the sale may be deducted from your normal salary payment or other monies owing to you. The decision to deduct or not deduct any such commission rests solely with the Managing Director and will aim to be a proportionate response to the reasons for the refund.
Entitlement to accrue commission shall cease on the termination or suspension of your employment. On termination of employment, for whatever reason, commission will be calculated based on sales placed in the relevant period up to and including your last working day. For the avoidance of doubt, if you are still employed but are not actually working such as may be the case if you are on a period of garden or other leave, commission payments will not apply to the period of time after your last working day. The Company reserves the right to pay any commission to you separately from your normal salary payment.
The Company also reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, cancel or vary these commission arrangements on giving you one month’s notice to that effect.
Targets
Your minimum monthly target is £50, 000 (net) sales per month. This is equivalent to £600,000 (net) per year and it is anticipated that this will be split between an Install Value and a Maintenance Value as per the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). You are expected to achieve a gross margin on sales of 35% unless agreed with the Commercial Director.
Any prospective quotes in excess of £10, 000 (net) must be authorised by the Commercial Director, as must jobs outside of the normal geographic area to which you are assigned.
You will be expected to achieve:
- 2-3 Quotes per day
- Sales target per month
- Set KPI’s
Whilst you will be permitted, indeed expected, to take responsibility for planning your target customers, the Company reserves the right to request that you focus on a particular sector and/ or particular type of business e.g. the educational sector or new rather than existing customers. You may also be required to bring in sales for an associated Company.
You will be expected to produce a weekly time sheet/diary detailing your appointments in addition to a sales and enquiry prospective spreadsheet
