Russell-Cotes Museum is located on the East Cliff Promenade between Bournemouth and Boscombe Pier. Sitting on top of the cliff, with views overlooking the golden sandy beach, the Russell-Cotes Museum was a birthday present to Lady Annie Russell-Cotes from her husband Sir Merton, a dream present, a house on the clifftop overlooking the sea.
They filled the house with souvenirs from their travels across the world and filled the walls with art. The worldwide collection stems from the high Victorian and Pre-Raphaelite era, art from Australia, Russia, New Zealand, and Japanese collections.
The Russell Cotes Museum was given to the people of Bournemouth.
